myth. With my girl, I was throwing up all the time. I'm pregnant now, and though I don't know if it is a boy or girl, I am having almost no nausea and have not thrown up once. So, whether I am having a girl or a boy, my experience says it is a myth.

It's just a myth with my three year old little girl I had no morning sickness. I'm 32 weeks pregnant 33 weeks tomorrow and for the first 3 months I was sicker than a dog and the 18 week scan and the 32 week scan both show that she is a little girl. I also heard it the other way around more morning sickness with a girl and none with a boy.

It's the other way around actually, but it's a myth. All those old wives' tales are only 50-50 anyway. However, when I was pregnant with my son, I never got morning sickness. I am 25 weeks with a girl now and I had such bad morning sickness that I lost 10 lbs.
Here is a site of Old Wives' Tales for you to look at:

It's so not true! I went through people telling me all sorts of things like that when I was pregnant, and every myth pointed to me having a boy! I had a healthy 7 lb girl, which is what the ultrasound predicted. The ultrasound is the best way to go to find out what the baby will be! There's also a test to where they take some of the baby's blood and check to see, but it is expensive and invasive.(I think it's blood they take! It could be cells or something like that. They check for XX or XY chromosones)

actually the myth is the other way around. The more morning sickness you have chances are you are having a girl or possibly multiples. But this is not true whatsoever. Just coincidence for some people.

Myth. Some women don't have morning sickness at all and end up with either a boy or girl. It all depends on your body.
The only way to find out the sex of a baby if through an ultrasound.

Actually I heard just the opposite. About 75% of women have morning sickness and usually it's the ones who are carrying the females that suffers the most. But that's just what I heard. I also heard of lots others like
For a Girl: You carry low and get fat, you have light pee, you conceived on an odd month, you crave sweet...
For a Boy: You carry high and are 'all-baby', you have dark pee, you conceived on an even month, you crave sour/salt...
None of it is true. Everyone based there opinons on these myths plus many more and were wrong when I found out I am having a girl.

I don't think that is true at all. Our body react differently, two friend of mines was having a baby boy they had morning sickness while the other friend had a girl and she had morning sickness also. Some just don't have it at all.

May or may not be a myth, every pregnancy is different. In my particular case it proved true.. in a really odd way. In the beginning of my pregnancy w/my son, I was terribly morning sick (like.. all day) for the entire last tremester. With my daughter, it was only the first two months, only in the morning.
One thing for sure though, my son was WAY more active in my belly than my daughter. Maybe that's why I was sick.. hmm..
