Physical discipline on a wife/husband is not tolerated as both should be adult in size and nature. Physical discipline in the form of withdrawal of sexual privileges is also wrong. Men and women have got to learn how to talk and work out their differences as well as learn to accept and appreciate each for being strong and having a mind that that is unlike others.

Hmm I think the person should sleep with one eye open and be very careful eating what she cooks, only an idiot would use physical discipline on a wife and expect her to go into the bedroom and kitchen and perform like nothing ever happened, and I think the person suffers from low self-esteem, and lived in a controlled environment as a child, now the person wants to be the controllee, GET SOME COUNSELING

As a husband I have respect for my wife to be who she is without finding fault. I see no need to discipline an adult mate. Sounds like the guy is a control freak and needs to be taken to the wood shed himself. A spouse is an extention of self. He must not like himself very much.

In no uncertain terms it is never right to hit a woman. If it is happening, the individual should report the incident, file a PPO and if necessary stay with someone that can keep you safe. Hope this helps you.

Absolutely not!!!! My thoughts on physical violence are as follows. The first time it is solely his fault, the second time it is both of their fault and the third time it is her fault for still being there and with that, giving him permission to beat up on her. Once a man steps over that line and uses physical violence against his wife, he will escalate the violence. His self esteem is so low, he only feels good when he can degrade the person closest to him That is not love!! Leave.... no... run!!!! Get away from this man before he destroys your self esteem and your life.

No, absolutely not. We don't live in those times when it was socially accepted. Women should be equal in everything today. If children are involved then it is a definite no! There were studies done that said that when children grow up in abusive homes, then they are more likely to be abusers or abused. Also, they have a greater chance at going to jail on a violence-related crime! So, in conclusion, NO!!

There is no excuse for "discipline" EVER. Marriage is supposed to be a partnership, not a master/servant relationship. If there's something happening one person doesn't like, you tell the other person you don't like it and why, then work out a compromise

Only if it is requested and enjoyed, discipline, especially for the purpose of correcting the wife is energy that should have been exhausted by the wife's parents. physical discipline for pleasure is authorized and for those that enjoy, urged.
