If anyone has published a book on the site. Is there a lot of buying activity for your book from people unknown to you. People aside from Friends family love ones and so fourth.

I haven't had a book published on Lulu, but I belong to a writing group were the moderator says if you're going to self-publish, you want to do it through Lulu. You get to keep all rights to your work, that way if at a later date you want to publish conventionally, you can. Self-publishing is harder than conventional publishing as marketing is 100% the authors responsibility. If you want other people to buy your book you're going to have to market your heart out. Start a blog and a website, talk to your local book stores and find out what it takes to get your book on amazon.com. Though Lulu does appear to have an area where people can buy directly off their site. Good Luck!
