The best career is the one that you are passionate about.

Let's say you hear that being an Accountant is a great job that pays well. OK, so you aren't wild about accounting but you figure it will give you a good living... But if you major in accounting you will probably be in class, and then later in business, competing against kids who really do LOVE accounting (like my niece!) and they will be loving every minute of it while you are doing it for the money. They are going to beat you every time. Their excitement for their work will give them the edge in learning and pursuing this career.

What you need is to find out what kind of career you really enjoy, and then figure out how to make a living doing that thing. If you are really passionate about it you should be able to become one of the best in the world at that thing. Then you will make money and be a happy person (which is more important that making money!)

Follow your heart to find out what you like. Follow your head to figure out how to make a living from that passion.

Good luck.
