In most states a child support order will be granted at the time of divorce. However, IF this guy is a real man at all, then he will WANT to care for his own children until that time. If not, then call a local attorney (most offer free consultation) and see what he could do to help you.

As soon as a motion for divorce is filed you are responsible for support payments. I was still living in the home and supporting the family, but when the divorce was final I was behind in my payments. So from my experience it should be paid right now. It was racking up even before it was final. I hope this helps you.

No! Go see your local District Attorneys office. They will give you all the support you need. They will file all the necessary paperwork an order for you to get a judgment for child support.

I'd rather the father of my kids be involved in their life than me fight for more money to support them while he is off with his new girlfriend flying around the world enjoying life. But one visit a year (for one week) and about 2 - 5 phone calls a year is by far not enough. So, unfortunately for him, I'm making him pay through the nose. Too bad there weren't more smart thinking father's such as yourself.

No it's up to the lawyer to put in an order so the parent to get some money. Or go to the judge and have an order made up.
