I've had a cough for over 2 weeks now and a voice like Bonnie Tyler. It's getting on my nerves now. HELP !

There are several that do it to me:
peanut shards stuck in gullet
passive smoking (I'm an ex-heavy smoker)
swallowed flies when I'm cycling at harvest time
my natural reaction to a specially prattish remark in ordinary conversation, or at a party
the odd viral illness

If I have a chest infection - this is obvious or smoked too much after a night out on the town.
Also when I've drunk a McDonalds milkshake!

Sometimes certain brands of ice cream can make me cough or have to clear my throat.

Perfume and cigarette smoke can make me cough. I live on gingerale and fisherman friend's cough drops. I work in a drug store.
