there was this thing on tyra where she had this one guest on. she was teaching how to get the look of having make up on.
suck on some hard red candy. then run it over your lips for the look of red lipgloss or whatever.
for blush, pinch your cheeks till they become pink.
i cant remember what else there was but, i'm sure if you look it up or go on her show's site, you'll find it.
till i became older, my mom wouldnt let me wear makeup either. truth be told, makeup isnt all that great for a young girl's skin. it can cause breakouts or allergic reactions. these days, all i ever wear is eyeliner & eyeshadow and i'm almost 18.
& lemme tell ya, with the dying hair thing...you have to be able to keep it up. and since theres tons of chemicals in dying your hair, it does damage.

Well first it depends on how old you are. If you are young and still in junior high then you shouldn't even be thinking about make-up. Now if you are in high school then I can understand. What you need to do is sit down and have a serious conversation with your mom. Explain to her why you feel you need to wear make-up. Let her know that you will be responsible with it and that you are just doing to feel pretty!!
Or whatever the reason is that you want to wear make-up. Hunny if she says no then don't go behind her back and do it anyway. It will turn out worse for you so it's better to listen then to disobey...
good luck

Hey, try, 4 blonde streaks put lemon juice in the spots of your hair that you want blonde then stay in the sun all day (if its warm) also, be reasonable with your mom are you like11 or younger? If you are dont worry other kids start wearing make up when their about 12 or older, if your older then 12, talk to your mom in a sensible manner no yelling or whinning ect, If she says no at first act calm and mature maybe she see how mature you are and let you. Dont give up hope you WILL eventully wear make up. Best of luck!!

How old are you Anna!?
If you are in your teens, here is the deal that I made with my daughters. Since I believe that young girls should not look like the makeup is piled on....
I told them that they could wear makeup if it looked natural enough that I could hardly tell the difference. They should not look made up. It took a couple of lessons for them to get the hang of it, but it made a good compromise. As for the hair, when they were in their late teens, I helped them do a henna. They were thrilled and it was not permanent dye. Win win.

Greetings Anna,
How old are you? If you are over 15 you could explain to your mom why you want to wear makeup or dye your hair. You could tell her you are old enough and that would really make you happy. Only say that if that's what you really want.
There are many things to dye your hair that will not make it for a long time, thus it will ruin your hair. Aerosol for hair is not good for the hair, it actually turns it dry and it will look like fried.
Yes, you can make makeup at home. But it would definetly stink and won't be useful.
Maybe you may want to read this:

If you think your honestly mature enough to wear makeup, then talk it over with your parents. I've not had the problem of convincing anyone to let me wear makeup, often, seeing as I'm a guy...
As for making makeup, I suggest that you check some goth forums, if you find a good one, check the makeup area, and there may be some posts explaining how to make makeup (I know of one or two people who do this), just remember to change certain things unless you want black/purple lipstick etc ;)

im pretty sure theres no way to dye your hair not permanently at your house so i wouldnt try it plus you shouldnt need to dye your hair ...ive never dyed my hair i like it dyeing it can cause damage and make it less smooth ...and if your mom wont let you wear make up then she probly has a good reason

Well, you can use lemon juice in the sun to give yourself blonde streaks. You can also start out with light colors on your eves and cheeks and show her that you will do it tastefully and not trashy. Try asking first for special occasions and then work your way to everyday.

If all else fails, buy some makeup your mom doesn't know about, then put it on on the bus or when you get to school. Just don't forget to wash off before you come home.
