The point that people seem to miss is the complete lack of data we're working with here. Even with history info and accurate current measurements we're not recording much.

We dont know much about how the natural heating and cooling cycle works, nor do we really know how much we can contribute to it. We're not having an Al Gore sized effect-youd have to be stupid to think that. However youd have to be ignorant to think that little things dont add up, there is a whole branch of science devoted to it-Chaos Theory.

The important part of global warming isnt whats we know, its what we dont know, and a few big things we do know. For instance, ice ages suck ***-theyre also at both ends of the heating trend. If we're speeding up the next ice age by even 100 years thats a bad thing. More importantly, if we can change things and learn our effects now, we have a chance of prolonging the trends to work for man, instead of wiping us out. Humanity was created by the last big Ice Age. Another one will eventually come, we dont want it to be our end.

The religious practitioners who pay homage to Gaia and The Goricle have to cherry pick data. The Snows of Kilimanjaro have been vanishing for decades and not because of the carbon of man but the sun, and natural forces. Al will be right in about 4 billion years when the sun becomes a red giant and he will be wrong then too The earth will be warmer, but not because of CO2. Washington State and the glaciers there data was cherry picked by the religious and the climatologist got fired for pointing it out. Go figure

Earth's climate is never constant. I learned that in geology.
However, even if you don't believe in global warming then that doesn't mean that you keep on polluting.

Look at the Yangtze ( I may be wrong about the name of the river) river in China. The water is so polluted that it stands to lose all vegetation and fish within the next five years!

The environment is an important issue regardless of global warming, because we are still harming the only planet that can sustain us.

Hell, so many people here think they can "Feel" Global Warming. We have had 19 Hotter May's since 1900!!!!!
The Earths Temp. has risen about 1 degree since the "Little Ice Age" ended in the Mid-1800's.
Even the Pro-Global Warming Scientists say that at the current rate of increase, in another 200-300 years Earth will again be about the same temperature as it was during the Greek and Roman Empires, and the tme of Christ. Before the "Little Ice Age" started.....

The problem is it is politically correct to support global warming theory and panic like the liberals want us to do. For years now, people have pointed out that we are warming up because we are coming out of an Ice Age and its normal.

No one can tell what to do with the sulfur dioxide from volcano's like Mt Saint Helen's or Kilo-ea in Hawaii.

Until some rock solid evidence is presented, by reputable scientists, everyone needs to question global warming. The earth has cycles and for thousands of years, we have had warmer than normal years and cooler than normal years.

For those that want to be true believers in CO2 levels causing the issue - please remember that correlation (rise in CO2 along with rise in temp) is NOT causation.

And if you truly believe in it - why are you still using CO2-producing energy sources? Carbon credits won't shrink the CO2 levels, stopping your gluttonous use of energy will. So... stop!
