Is a dress size 3 for juniors considered small or petite?

I was just wondering, cause I've probably watched 'Mean Girls' a billion times and the bit where Karen and Gretchen are with Regina in the dress shop that only carries sizes 1,3, and 5 made me wonder if those dress sizes were small or something.

it's small unless you are shorter in which case you buy petite clothes. My mother is 5'4" and when she will forever be petite because of her height. So a size 3 is just a small. Especially in the case of the movie, I've watched it too.

Yes, it's small. But petite, in reference to clothing sizes means short. You can wear a size 22 and still need Petite clothing. (22WP- 22 Women's Petite)

yes its small for thin girls, thats what's in right now

i wear a size 6 b/c my chest can't fit any smaller and i'm 34B (not big at all)

on your height and weight, you look on the impressive scale. people could be saying that as a results of fact they are jealous of your weight. You look a healthful weight on your height, yet to make specific you may bypass see a doctor and he will provide you the suited outcomes. you're seen petite, yet no longer "too petite".

i think small cuz i cnt even fit into size 3's usually cuz im really short and skinny cuz im short but its a good size for someone whos like 5'3 or taller i guess

yes, they are fairly small.......considering they are juniors in high school that is small since they are pretty much at their maximum hieght and shape
