Many explorers came from Spain and their influence indeed was placed on the western world. Balboa, who discovered the Pacific Ocean beachline of California for Spain, gives the Orange and San Diego counties their Spanish influence.

However, not all is Spanish. Brazil is Portuguese, and there is French and Dutch influences throughout the early Americas.

North of Mexico the English took over 200 years after Columbus. The Spanish and French sold out to the Americans later. In Central and South America the Spanish and Portuguese spread their language.

That is true. Before the Spainsh came people of Mexico and the rest of Central and South America spoke hundreds of different indeginous languages, than the Spanish forced their language on the people.

Yes, that's the reason, in one time Spain dominated America from Florida to Chile, The Philippines, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Sorry, but Spanish is the 3rd spoken language, 1st Chinese and 2nd English, but is because is very used in business around the word, that's the reason many people speak it.

Most of it, yes, though the Portugese took Brazil. The conquering Spanish are also responsible for most of Central and South America being Catholic countries. They brought their religion as well as their weapons.
