Islam. In Islam there is a belief that nothing quite matches the purity of God's creation and to make anything else is akin to idolatry. That is why every mosque is decorated with geometric shapes and words from the Koran, but no images, at all, ever. The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the Taj Mahal are two very well-known examples.
