MY 21 Birthday is comming up and I was wondering if anyone had any Ideas where me and my husband should have a fun dinner (with good drinks DUH!...LOL) around the LA area or sourounding areas my birthday is on a wendesday so its not the weekend or anything PLEASE HELP I DONT WANT TO END UP GOING TO BJS OR CHILIS ON MZY 21 birthday!!...(although i love both but not for my 21...) THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH this will really help me celebrate my 21 birthday!!

THat steak house sounds really great but we dont have them out here Lucilles in Santa Monica sounds like a pretty good bet Its great food but i was kinda looking for something a little nicer...but its still a great idea!!

Go to House of Blues and eat, drink, and then listen to the show. Plus there are some great bars nearby on the strip!

If you want an UNFORGETTABLE 21st birthday go to Geoffrey's on the water in Malibu. It's expensive, but worth it. If you drink... make a night of it by booking a room at the Malibu Beach Inn... get the beachside room with fireplace.
If you book online you'll get better rate. Geoffreys is an amazing and unique experience... If you cannot afford it, try another Malibu spot like Duke's... it's fun and has a full range menu. It also has a sand bottom bar! It's a fun, feel good place.
If you don't want to do the Malibu thing, go to Yamashiro's in Hollywood... a Japanese restaurant with one of the best views in the city, great food and amazing ambiance.
If you want light-hearted, hip, trendy... go to the Sunset Strip. The Standard, Argyle, Sky Bar are favorites.
For the old Hollywood scene, try Formosa, Musso and Frank's, and the Dresden Room.
Have fun and DON'T DRIVE....

in downtown L.A. THE PALMS and CLEAR WATER GRILL. A good old fashion steak house and a sea food restaurant, both very nice white linen type places. In PASADENA bistro 45 nice french,romantic. In Burbank,just tried a new restaurant named Lashers and was very impressed with the food and service. The best steak that i have had in in a long time, fork tender and done the way that i like it , not the way that they wanted to serve it. just had a fathers day brunch in Santa Monica at I Cugini's, a Italian sea food restaurant always good and worth the drive.

Try the One Pico restaurant in the Shutters Hotel. Very pretty (right on the beach in Santa Monica) and extremely romantic. Afterwards you can have a drink on the comfy couches in the lobby where you can sit by the fire and they bring your drinks, or you can take a walk along the pier if you prefer.

Eat at Dick's. It's funny. All the servers role play like they are really rude and say hilarious things you would normally never hear while being served. It's really funny, and If you are looking for fun and have a good sense of humor.
If not that, try Midieval Times, it's close to Knotts Berry Farm. You've seen it in the movie Cable Guy. Here is a website about it. Pretty cool too.

21! happy BDAY! Go treat yourself to Wolfgang pucks, SPAGO of Beverly Hills! you'll love it! then drive up to Sunset Blvd. and go Clubbing! I went there for my graduation dinner from Culinary School! P.S. I was a Chef for the St. Regis hotel! I can personally say its one of the best restaurants in the world! NO Joke!

PF Chang's is a great place...nice atmosphere for you and your husband, dim-lighting, really delicious food...not sure about the drinks, I'm 20 but overall, it's a nice, reasonably priced palce to eat-out.

i don't know about cali but i live in nyc and for my 21st i went to peter lugers steak house. if they have that in cali too you should go there it's an amazing steak and it's only $60 a person. go to a place like that. you go to a bar or club everyday no matter where you go it's all the same dancing and drinking so go somewhere differnt.
