Well after looking at several possiblilites, heres what I have. Instead of a router, it is a Linksys WAP11 v2.2 access point, SpeedStream SS2105 switch, my desktop, and a buffalo wli-usb-l11g antenna. Is there a way to get this access point up and working? Thanks for all the replies

This gets a little tricky but here is what will have to happen. On the desktop that is receiving the USB Internet conncetion you will have to inable Internet connection sharing.

You will then connect the ethernet adapter on that desktop to your switch and the access point to one of those connections.
You will need to set your access point up prior to being able to use it just follow the instructions and setup an SSID etc for it. The do all the sharing.

Once your ICS (internet connection sharing is working) you should be able to connect other computers to either the switch or to the access point and get an intenet connection.

You can get the AP installed and working by connecting it to your ethernet plug on any computer and setting it up for connection. It will have a web browser interface. Once setup- set it aside and get your desktop all setup with ICS. Then connect the AP to the final setup and you are good to go.

(p.s. I had to go back an read your original question for any of this to make sense)
You're receiving a wireless connection incoming on USB to your "first" computer. You want that computer to connect to your Access Point so that other computers can use your Internet connection.
