I just want to put the HTML file I created in Photoshop up on my website. How? Please?

I made the file, it works fine. I need to know how to place it on my website. It's not uploaded anywhere and if I need to do that, I have no idea how, because I don't know where to upload HTML files. Every place I try says it's an invalid extension. It's just one file, and I can't figure this out. Please, someone explain this to me, and please, elaborate. I am a little slow about this, first website and all. Thank you in advance.

hey idk if ur site will work but open up notepad and type out:







Then save it as Index.html
Go to bravenet.com and sign up with them they have free accounts
Then u need to upload the Index.html file and the photoshop file if that dosn't work then email me and ill try and find a different solution

First a few things, you will need an address to upload it too... these sometimes look like "ftp://myweb.website.com, or 123.458.99.23". Also, hopefully, you know what the username and password is... you'll need it to access the website's backend (backend is where the websites files are). When you enter the address into your explorer browser (the address section on top of your internet browser), a login request may pop up, if not, go to the file menu, and click login... now you'll enter your username and password, and you'll be able to click and drag your file where ever you want it to go. If you put it into a folder the address of that html file will be: http://www.yourwebsitesname.com/thefoldername/thefilename.html

If you don't put it into a folder it'll be http://www.yourwebsitename.com/thefilename.html

There is free software on the internet so you can access your website's backend but you still need to know the address to upload, username, and password. They will all have plenty of directions and such.

how do you make an html file in photoshop?


you can make a layout in photoshop, slice it up and then it gives you the resulting html and images needed. You should have done this to a folder . Did you?

geocities.com

for free sites. You just need to follow their instructions on how to upload your content.
