Question About Political Parties?

This is a pretty stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Here goes.
How do you form you're own political party?

I think you are required to have a certain number of members before it is made official, something around 1,000.

Here are a few things to get you started:

1. What issues are really important to me?
2. How are my views drastically different from the existing political parties?
3. Raise some money.

I'd be curious to hear what kinds of things your political party would hope to accomplish.
