I think this list is probably pretty accurate............Yankee fans show up at every away game. I have seen as many Yankee shirts as Rangers shirts at the stadium..........Red Sox are addicted and I know the Braves have a huge following (thanks to all the coverage by the Turner Network)...........Chicago is a big baseball city and the Cardinals also have a huge base (including me!) I might put the Padres up a few rungs, but all in all, I think it's probably pretty close.

Thanks for posting!

This is not a very accurate list for readers because we have no idea what popularity is specifically measuring terms of baseball. Even though the Jays are number three on this list, they are number 24 out of all teams on the percentage of seats filled in their stadium per game. Obviously there is not much fan interest for the Jays, so that list is flawed. Here's a good site to show fan attendance and percentages at games: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/attendance?sort=home_avg&year=2007&seasonType=2

Top 8 I would expect, but the Reds? They never have any fans when I watch their highlights! I would also think the Angels would be alot better than that, and the Giants too. I also cant believe the Padres are so low too. I bet the Blue Jays being so high up there is a fluke, theres no way. I hardly even remembered the BJs existed.

GO TRIBE!

Lets accept the premise that this list is valid. It makes me wonder if its a case of the horse pulling the cart or the cart pulling the horse. In other words, We, the public is drowned by the media about the Yanks and Red Sox. I for one do not ever feel we have a choice..either listen about these two teams or not listen at all. Its almost like the other 28 teams barely exist. So if that's all we hear about, there's no surprise that they are #1 and 2.

Top 8 not very surprising, I think the twins and giants are the biggest surprises on the list to me. I really would have thought them to be much higher. Cant believe pittsburg is as high as 18 either, there stadium is always empty and i dont see pirate hats anywhere i go.......lol The braves at 4 alittle questionable because they never sell out, but there is braves hats and shirts in any major city you go to so i guess they are 4 because of overall popularity not atlanta support.

Sounds inaccurate. For one, nobody likes the Blue Jays. I mean not even Canadians like the Blue Jays. And two the Yankees are popular in one way. All people that are Yankees fans love the Yankees. But the people that arent Yankee fans usually hate thet Yankees.

Blue Jays should not really be number three and if it was more serious baseball fans, they would not be there.

I would think the Dodgers would have been higher. They are not only an institution in southern California, but well known in other parts of the country, along with great attendance.

not lots ask your self from my purple Wings, regrettably. interior the opener they went up 5-0 on the Senators, yet then have been given sloppy and enable them to back interior the sport by utilizing giving up 3 objectives. They hung on for the win, yet i could considered too lots of that nonsense final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. the three-0 win over Colorado became extra advantageous, yet what do you assume from enjoying a backside dweller? the genuine try would be their next sport, against a valid group, the Canucks.

That list is dumb. There is no way the orioles are higher than the Angels and there is no way the Blue Jays are third.

Teams that should be lower:
Blue Jays
Braves
Reds
Mariners
Astros
Pirates
Orioles

Teams that should be higher:
Angels
Brewers
Cardinals
Twins

Assuming this list is valid and accurate, I'm surprised that the Astros, Pirates, Brewers, Orioles all rank above the A's...
