I know, reading isnt fun to many of you, but a lot of times i get into a book, and really enjoy it. I do have summer reading for my school, but i want to know a good book to read for "fun" that is going to be entertainning.
These are some books i really enjoyed, maybe it would help...
All the Harry Potters
Eragon/Eldest
The Sea of Trolls-BY Nancy Farmer
Pendragon (series)
Charlie Bone ( i think thats what its called)
Emperor: The Gates of Rome
And different books like that.
Action,Fantasy, i enjoy books with Magic (like harry potter type magic)
and books that took place when there were kings and knights, and fights with swords and mystical creatures.
So if you have any good book suggestions based off the above info or that you enjoyed that i might like, i would appreciate it.
*I am a fast and excellent reader, the longest book on that list took my 9 days, and that was The Sea of Trolls, so i can handle big books =)*
thanks

Good fantasy books... got plenty of those ;)
Just a quick selection of the best...
-A Shadow on the Glass - Ian Irvine (boring start, but good ending, and the start of his first set of 4 books).
-Geomancer - Ian Irvine (fantastic book, and the start of his 2nd set of 4 books).
-Waywalkers - Catherine Webb (aimed at teenagers, but its a fantastic book non-the-less)
-The Magicians Guild - Trudi Canavan
Just some books there, but if you want to just try random books, try charity shops or market places, look in the fantasy section, read the blurb, and buy if you like it, they will be cheap. Thats what I do, and you can find some true gems in those places, at a fraction of the price :)

I agree that if you haven't already read Phillip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials Trilogy' you should definitely do so this Summer. It's considered a slightly more adult Harry Potter, but don't let that put you off. It's a perfect step up from the HP books. I read the trilogy after the Harry Potters and now i fight in my head which i like best.
Also, you haven't got to wait long for the new book being hyped as the next Harry Potter. A book called Tunnels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams. It's published July 2nd. I'm excited. :)

A very entertaining Trilogy is The Door Within Trilogy. It is very well written and very good. The 3 books are
1. The Door Within 2. The Rise of the Wyrm Lord. 3. The Final Storm.
It is about a boy named Aiden. he can travel between the real world and The Relm like his grandfather did before him. A King is calling him and he is a Knight to protect the Relm. It is very Intreging and will keep you reading.

The ones I've read by Stephen King that ARE scary.. Cell, Misery, The Shining, The Stand, Bag Of Bones The one that I'm reading now by Stephen King: IT (One of the scariest books I've read by him) The one book I recommend even though it's not that scary.. The Green Mile I haven't read any of the Hannibal books but I saw the movies so I imagine they are good: Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising

I suggest The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman.
I just finished the book and really enjoyed it, plus I would suggest reading it before the movie comes out later this year.

I think you should read the uglies trilogy, I know it might take you only a few days, its a good book. about 400 pages or so.
You can also read Inkheart and Inkspell. After that there is the Midnighters trilogy and Twilight. twilight has another book after it called new moon and another comes out after that.

I suggest The Divide by Nicholas Evans. He is the author of The Horse Whisperer. The Divide is about a girl who gets involved in demonstrating for various ecological causes, and gets charged with murder. It's very interesting.

I recommend the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I started by reading Small Gods, which is a good place to start because it doesn't recquire that you read any of the others (at my last count there were 25)
