This happened to our dog. It was cystitis - yes, believe it or not, males get it too! You really do need to get the poor soul to the vet as soon as you can and get a proper diagnosis though - not just take notice of what's posted on here. Cystitis can be extremely painful and it's a wonder your dog is not irritable and niggly, perhaps even nasty with it. It's very simple to clear up and won't cost a lot. Make sure your dog drinks plenty of water as frequently as possible. Most dogs don't drink enough water. A good natural treatment for cystitis is barley water. One heaped tablespoon of pearl barley to half a pint of boiling water, stir, and allow to cool before putting it in your dogs water bowl. Do not dilute it. Your dog might like the taste and it is very soothing for the bladder. Sometimes too much protein in the diet can be the cause of re-accurring cystitis. Get the diagnosis from your vet before doing anything else though - PLEASE!!!

He's bleeding into his urine & only your vet can tell you where it's coming from. You need to make an appointment as soon as possible for your dog's sake.
Good luck

He has a bladder infection or possibly a kidney infection, which is very painful and he cant tell you he is hurting, so take him to the vet A.S.A.P. Don't let him suffer.
