On yahoo answers and email html is deactivated
Simply place the prefix http:.. in front on the web site url
For example
url: www.google.com
prefix: http://www.google.com
As suggested it is often quicker to copy and past the url from the url site bar.
In a forum please use
TEXT TO SHOW

If you are talking about a Word document, you can attach the file in your email. All the reader would have to do is click on the icon that is created when you attach the file, and it opens.

if you have the option, you have to insert it is a hyperlink..where you add your website to the word..this varies on how you do it.
