I have one A.A. in Liberal Studies and one in A.S. Legal Assisting. I really want a job, besides legal assisting, with a lot of responsiblities. I've been finding that most of the jobs that catch my interest require Bachelor degrees, thus I am looking for an answer to my question. Thanks!!!!

No, two AS do not equal one BA. The upper level courses are more difficult. However, stick them both on your resume and see what happens.

AS =An academic degree conferred by a two-year college after the prescribed course of study has been successfully completed.

Bachelor of Science (B.S., B.Sc. or less commonly, S.B. or Sc.B.) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for courses taken that generally last three years in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Quebec, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa or four years in the rest of North America and Scotland.

Therefore, they are completely different degrees. So you cannot have two AS degrees to equal a BS.

Keep and AS degree is basic coverage of a certain subject. A BS degree specializes in one subject over a length of time of 3-4 years.

Not even close ... an AA/AS degree represents two years of study in a subject (lower-division undergraduate work). A BA/BS represents four years of study (in a particular subject -- two years lower-division, and two years upper-division undergraduate work), and is not necessarily predicated on an Associates Degree.

You could have a dozen AA/AS degrees and they will never add up to a Bachelors ...

No they will not. The associates show that you have equivalent time invested but not the in depth education in a particular Field. Most employers will not give that the same weight as a bachelors.

Sorry, but having two A.S won't equal to a B.S. you should try and apply to those jobs anyway, because they might just hire you.
