I'm older...I used to like men who needed "fixed". You know, the "broken" ones..the "sad" ones...the ones who just needed me desperately. I grew out of that. (Thank Goodness!!)
Now, I'd like to find someone who is emotionally secure, financial competent (rich is not a requirement), can dress himself AND knows how to take care of himself...and can, in a pinch, take care of me on those rare occasions when I need it. Some one well rounded, and not just one dimensional...where his only passion is watching sports on television, for example.

I would have to say that women can be attracted to many different types of men, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they would be able to have a great loving relationship with that person. It also kind of depends on what stage in your life you are in. When I was younger the bad boys were cute. Then I stopped that charade because bad boys have a lot of fun but when you are in a serious situation you want someone that is going to be there for you and they just aren't. I like the gentlemen, but my personality doesn't quite click with them, they tend to be a little too polite than I'm used to and it can irritate me a little. I like a little bit of everything and that is hard to find. Someone who isn't afraid to try new things, but still has some things that are absolutely out of the question. Someone who is smart, but also has a sense of humor. Someone who has manners in public, but knows how to ditch them once in a while just for fun. So honestly, I would have to say that women don't always know what they want. It is kind of like we go looking for what we know that we don't want and work our way up to who we could settle for. Or at least that is my opinion.

Well I don't know if I can pick an exact type, i think at the end we want some of all the types, you know;
I always find very attractive the man who cares for you, the one that respects the women, and listens to her. The one that knows when to be goofy and spontaneous, and that can be serious when its needed.
I like the man who is honest, intelligent, likes to work and has dreams to pursue. The one you know you can count to laugh and to cry with.
they say that a gentleman is the one that makes sure everybody around him feels comfortable. So I guess, I would like someone like that.

I think I have given up. If I could simply find a man who was honest about who he was, what he liked to do, how much money he made (or didn't make), the kind of foods he liked to eat, I might have my faith in men restored. I am tired of being around people -- men and women friends included -- who don't know what they want out of life.
I prefer being around my dogs. If someone walks by my house that they do not like, they bark at them in a low gutteral way. If they like the person, they jump and skip and have this lovely high-pitched, "Hi-how-are-you." lyrical greeting. If I put something in their food they won't eat it and they let me know they are not happy about it. Whether I am gone ten minutes or ten days, they greet as if I am the best creature on earth. My cat and fish are not quite as demonstrative but they are true blue.
Is that too much to ask in my fellow human beings? When I was divorced, I thought "nice" and "honest" would be simple traits to find. I was wrong.

I guess I would have to say your kind, except for the wine tasting part, my husband is a lot like your description but neither of us like wine, he is kind, a bit of a bad boy, will not stand by and let another man get away with abusing a woman or child and he always is thinking about me, he loves football but will go antiquing with me and even helps me shop for bras, ha, ha.

Sorry sweetie but I like my man. Complete opposite to what I originally liked.
- Bad boy (been arrested for DUI since Ive been with him)
- Complete softy - Goes all gooey over little kids (Only cause he wants us to have one)
- Like his football only to a degree (knowing the score and whos playing)
- Intelligent when he wants to show it (Shy about that)
- Doesnt like men being cruel to women or children (though he will watch a ***** fight unless the other women has a physical problem aka pregnant)
I liked shaved head, muscle, tattooed types (see Vin Diesel for visual reference) and Ive ended up with a 6'5" male who loves his violent video games, no tattoos, a stomach that has gone from a six pack to a keg in 9 months. And I love him.

I'm attracted to a man that has confidence - not conceited. Definitely a difference. I love a well-rounded men, as you have described in your paragraph. Sounds like the perfect guy! Beer, wine, chill, sophisticated, playful, attentive, thoughtful, etc. Man, you make me wish I had one!

I like ROCKER bad boy.
I don't like Bad As* I was with a Bad As* for 10 years and he was a beater and an alcoholic/drug addict ex convict. SWEEEEEET YA NOT. Not anymore, I have a kid from him and that is no punishment, that is awesome, because I have full custody of my kid and HIS loss totally. I like down to earth kind of men, blue collar workers mostly. Likes muscle cars, harley's and Trucks, Beer, games and fun. But know how to be passionate and full of fire and life...mmmmmmmmm SEXXXXY
