what do i wear with these shoes?

I got some red high top converse shoes. My boyfriend thinks they look like clown shoes. I think they are cute. My questions are what should i wear with them? what is your opinion?

Why did you buy shoes if you didn't know what to wear with them? I generally keep my sneakers simple-- White. They go with everything. However, when in New York City and I literally had to buy new shoes out of necessity, I relented and bought some Converse because I found them for only $20. I likely couldn't do that well in Detroit or Columbus. Since my choices were salmon, pink or green, I chose the pink because they go with more of my shirts. (I wear kahaki shorts or jeans when I go out. They also go with everything.) After Nike bought out Converse and the prices went up, I decided that I would never buy them again. I certainly never expected to get them for the same price as what I used to get them in high school. The only difference is (besides me getting the ones without laces, I had to put laces in the open holes for better support), is that the quality is not as good as what my old Chucks, my real Chucks are.

You could just return them and get your $50 back.

These shoes sound cuteee =] I think, even tho they are high top, you could wear them with black/dark jeans, and a white top with some kind of red detail. I think the white as the converse logo is white. Just a suggestion but thats what my friend wears her converse with and it looks lush! Plus, don't listen to your boyfriend, they are fashionable after all!

Lol, I don't think they look like clown shoes. I have fake coverse style shoes in green with white polka dots. XD I would suggest wearing jeans, or jean capris. Those type of shoes look nice with denim.

well i know it is kind of hot outside but high tops are really meant to be worn with jeans. so you can either wear them with jeans and a comfy shirt or you could return them and get low tops in red so you can wera them with shorts. but u know, i would keep them and wear them with jeans. but u know, u can wear them with shorts but they have to be shorts. they cant be like capris cause u want to show some leg! not just pant then shoe u get what im saying? anyway hope it helps!!

You could wear the shoes with jeans and a black tee, white tee, grey shirt, those kind of colors. If you want to wear them with black or jean shorts or khaki shorts with one of those color shirts. Or even capris! I love converse no matter what the color is! Hope this works!
