So I just read that a bill in the senate that will taxe big oil companies about 30 billion dollars.....and will supposedly use the money to "targeting the money to energy conservation, wind turbines, electric hybrid cars and clean coal technology."
Both Democrats and Republicans seem to support this, there is virtually no opposition to this bill.

My concern is that the cost of this will be passed onto the consumers. We already pay high gas prices. The government sees this as an incentive for big oil companies to pursue other forms or energy development, but is this really an incentive for that, or is it just another opportunity for big oil to pass the cost onto us?

We will pay more short term. Then when they realize we won't pay that much; they'll bring it down. I don't like the sound of that bill. Why earmark the money before we get it?
Spending priorities may change. Social Security or catcher's
mitt for that asteroid that's coming; some sort of general fund
with a fraction earmarked for energy challenges.

Oil agencies run approximately 7 to 10 % internet income. Dismal, yet needed for retired people who own mutual funds that contain such shares, and want the dividends to make ends meet, because of the fact Social protection sucks. this is a low return for my style. I advise she circulate after her own investments. thinking she would have the ability to no longer pay union wages, i might think of her income margins are particularly severe.... perhaps in case you probably did no longer pay lots to those idiots in taxes, you would be waiting to deal with to pay for to guard the toothless situation. Later, fang... see ya in re-education camp....
