I think you are becoming quite racist yourself. If you want to stop racism, don't be a part of it.

You were not born here - your accent is evident in your posts. I do not believe an Indian doctor was abused for not being white. People are mean and rude to you because you are not a very nice person. And anyway, I thought Scotland was not at all racist so how come the Indian doctor got abused in your neighbourhood since you live in Scotland? You are just not clever enough knight. You are not even slightly integrated.

For centuries we have lived a minimun off 22 miles away from any other country, isolated. Is it any wonder that we don't know how to get on with other people. Apart from that, once upon a time britain ruled 30% of the world, for a tiny island like this to achieve that that tends to give a sort of false sense of superority. I don't care much now as I am going back to Thailand in a couple of weeks, there they dislike all foreigners, especially Nigerians and Cambodians for some reason. But there's a peace and tranqilility that doesn't happen here in the rat race any more.

First, it is very wrong for people to be hurtful toward you or anyone. I'm not English, but I've heard that the immigration is out of control in England; to the point that England is beginning to lose it's own heritage. Everyone has a right to their own beautiful heritage, and just as you have a right to yours, England has a right to hers. When Europeans moved to America, by and by the American Indians were pushed away and their culture all but completely stamped out. However, just because there are people living in England who may not be ethnically English or Welsh, doesn't mean that the beautiful culture of England is being pushed out. It's not the individuals, it's the amount. England has opened it's doors very wide to people from all backgrounds, and they have begun to have children of their own in England. So England is changing, because the population demographics are changing. Change is good and beautiful, but so is the traditional culture, something that I think quite a few people in England may be afraid of losing. Still, the racism is inexcusable.
I understand that you may just be frustrated with incidents of racism, but the other's are right; it's really not good to generalize. First, you must respect the traditional culture of England if you don't already; when one respects it enough they will understand why some people act out in a way (racist) that stems from their own anger that England is losing it's own culture. The racism you have experienced is wrong, and it is just a very bad reaction that could be handled better in regard to England slowly losing it's national heritage.

I'm sorry but that is generalisation ...I'm English, and I am not racist at all.
One of the things that I am so proud of about this country, is the fact that we have so much diversity within race, cultures and religions, and it's about time we all stopped having a go at each other and realised that we have something great in this country that many other countries do not.
Yes ... there are a minority of English people that do not tolerate other races/religions/cultures ... but they are a minority, and to tar all English people with the same brush is just wrong.
I'm sorry that you've had people being rude to you, it's not acceptable ... and the people that did this should be ashamed of themselves .... in this day and age we should all be pulling together to create a better country and world rather than ripping each other apart all the time.

You shouldn't single out a culture or society and deny the fact that every culture has racism and hatred and greed and oppression. I mean, let's get real...in 1994, a sect of Somalian militants rated and pilliged an impoverished village and stole all their food aided by Americans. In 1991, Saddam Husien ordered his army to bomb and kill thousands of Kurds in his own northern regions. The point is....every culture including indigenous tribes of Africa, Asia, Australia and the America's have all oppressed and discriminated at one point in time. Ever heard of the Museum of Tollerence? It's in West Los Angeles California U.S.A. If you're ever in that neck of the woods, take a few hours out of your day and pay the Museum a visit. It'll really put the zap in you.

You are a 1 trick pony with a real axe to grind. Perhaps if you put half the effort into making any social headway as you do writing these rants you'd make some alliances among white english people. Do everyone a favor and stop whining.

Racism is everywhere, especially here in the deep south of United States. I have watched a white man scream at a young black boy, calling him "you monkey" over and over just because he acidentally pushed a cart into his car. I used to have an asian girlfriend who thought sterotypes where appropriate because she believed they were accurate and true. racism isn't bound by one race and it comes in every shape and fashion. Most people are ignorant and others are simple blind to this fact. The world will never be perfect and people will never stop judging one another and some will never see the bigger picture out side of the color of there skin. My blood is red, how about the rest of you?

Oooh now isn't that a bit of a generalisation? And didn't you just say you were 'born here' - making you English too, right? I am not a racist, and I'm English. But I do get mad with all this rubbish (sorry, I meant political correctness) about no blackboards/whiteboards anymore, etc. Now THAT is going a bit far.
