I write fan fiction and I need to write a realistic love scene... I don't want it to be too smutty, i'd rather it was subtle and intimate the couple (Vince and Linda McMahon) have been married for 40 years and the scene i am writing happens on their 40th wedding anniversary...
SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY

FYI: fan fiction is writing about something real for the fun of it and taking the characters out of their usual box

I'm good at this stuff but I don't know their personalities so I'll be vauge. You can add the details yourself.

Start at him passing through the living room ans suddenly stops and look at an old pic of them. He stares at it and remembers all the things she has done for him with his memories flowing through his mind like a gentle river and realizes how much he really loves her. Not for what she has done for him but for simply who she is. Her smile, her laugh, the way she acts when consatrating, just all the little things. He smiles and looks down and thinks 'Have I done as much for her? After all these years does she feel the same?' He stares at the present he had gotten her on the coffee table and ponders, 'How can I have her fall in love with me again?'

Okay from here on it would be hard for me to write since I don't know how the met or why they fell in love with each other but this will give you a base and somewhere to start toward a romantic chapter rather then smutt.

I hope this helps.

It depends whether it is for a script or novel. Scripts tell what is happening while novels let the imagination run. Leave it up to the imagination. Less is always more.

On your 40th what would turn you on, write it down; set up a plan/out line and go from there.
