That depends on how long-term your want your fort to last. As kids we used to start with solid trees on the corner and would pile sticks against two of them for one wall while bracing it with some additional vertical pieces.
If you're looking for something that will last, you'll need to build some walls with 2x4's and plywood. lay out your horizontal bottom & top board and place your stud boards 16" apart. Nail through the bottom & top board into the studs with 2 nails in each. Build 4 walls & away you go. You'll probably want to cut out windows and doors so you should frame out the openings with additional 2x4's. Add plywood to enclose the fort and then decide how complex you want the roof to be.

This isn't a tree house you want is it? If not and if YOU are going to put it together, then make an outline drawing of the floor plan on paper, use 1/8" to 1' dimensions (foot). Then indicate where the doors (if any) will be, and any windows. I would prefer open spaces on most of the walls. Now that you have the area drawn find where you will have it built and measure the floor in that spot. After that you are ready to start the job. Make each wall in a prefab unit for it will be easier to handler.Try using lightweight material for walls, more thicker weight for the floor. The rest is in your hands

A summer fort... I'd take hay-bales and stack them to form your walls. For safety, I'd pound some rebar thru them to hold them securely to the ground (then cover the ends of the rebar with safety-caps).
You can roof it with corrugated tin or a tarp... or even a plywood on joists !!
