This sounds like a first baby for you mom. Please do not be afraid to call the doctor for anything you notice that doesn't seem right to you. That is what the ped is there for. To answer all of your questions regarding the health of your baby.

I do believe that baby might have conjunctivitis. In fact I woke up with that this morning and have been to the eye doctor today.

Talk to your doctor always. Remember the more he/she knows the better he can treat any childhood illness.

It could be an allergy to something in her bedding, or she rubs it at night, or she doesn't close that eye all the way when she sleeps and it dries out a little. Watch her the next time she sleeps for anything that may cause it. If you can find no cause then call the Dr.
