If I don't like a person's gait I show them the gate. If they can't walk that walk with style they won't be around me for awhile. I like a gait with joy and gaiety. How a person walks I suppose it is a window into the inner person. If one walks with a confident stride or a slouching shuffle with eyes downcast does speak volumes. A gait is extremely important if you are a horse and are hot to trot and take life head on at a full gallop. As for myself, I prefer to hop skip and jump. What does that say about me? What would enzyme 305 do?

It's actually as good an indicator as any other specific attribute of body language.

With the same way that not being able to look someone in the eyes and folding arms and fidgeting lets you know someone is being untruthful, or insecure, nervous, or uncomfortable, the way they walk is a good indicator of their motivation and/or outlook.

There are so many variations on the way someone walks, but here are some examples:

A person with a lackadaisical and lazy, meandering gait is definitely not in a hurry and may just either be unmotivated or have a deep, simple appreciation to take in their surroundings to their fullest.

A long, deliberate, faster, "marching" kind of gait - usually with the person's head slightly down and focusing on their next steps, is usually a very efficient and productive individual who is always in thought, but driven to most effectively and directly take care of business.

Did you know, also, that gait can relay leadership tendencies and even affect someone's attractiveness and even their percieved height. It's true. In studies, people with longer gaits tend to be seen as taller to a test group than someone of the same height, but that takes smaller steps.

Weird, huh? Good question!

Everyone tells me I always seem happy. They say I walk
with a bounce and don't drag along, but walk briskly with
my head up. Of course they don't see me after a long days work! Also there are different reason that a person could
walk with slumped shoulders and head down. Life tends to
change our circumstances without a moments notice. No
matter the circumstances I try to remain pleasant. It doesn't
always happen that way tho.

Posture is more revealing than gait. The angle of the head and the tightness of the shoulders reveals confidence or shyness, a level of confidence more telling than words or walk.
