Nomadic herds of corinths traverse the African velde and are generally only found in the dark. Most people easily confuse them with their geneological relatives the naugha, another mystical animal prized for its hide. You don't need to catch them to enjoy the benefits of their skin as both the corinths and the naugha shed their skins like snakes so there is a seemingly endless supply of these exotics to rest your weary bones on. I guess that will remain so until the Chinese start making knock-offs.

From Wikipedia:

Corinthian leather was a phrase invented for marketing use to describe the leather used in certain Chrysler luxury cars in the 1970s. The first use of this term was to describe the leather in the 1974 Chrysler Imperial, but the best known use of this term is from the advertising campaign for the 1976 Chrysler Cordoba, featuring celebrity spokesman Ricardo Montalbán.[1]

According to one source, the term was created by employees of the Young & Rubicam advertising agency [2].

Corinthian Leather is a marketing term that does not actually indicate any particular type of leather. In fact, according to one reference, Chrysler's "Corinthian" leather was mass produced in a plant in Newark, New Jersey (not Corinth).

Ricardo read his lines perfectly. Corinthian is a name in ancient times that spelled out as quality material and design. Usually used in architecture art. The Cordoba leather in the Chrysler car was meant to have this quality. No animals other than where regular leather was grown were hurt for the ad.

I heard this straight from Ricardo Montalban. There is no such thing as "Corinthian Leather." It was all just marketing on Chrysler's part.
But you knew that, right?

Corinthian Leather is a brand of leather and is a good grade of leather. Like Rolls have Nappa or Connoly, Cadillacs have Nuance or Eagle Ottawa and so on.
