Glad to know there a like-minded souls out there some where. Are you from Illinois? If not, I can tell you that it's no fun growing up here having the Cubs crammed down your throat and not being able to find out a thing about Willie Mays or anyone else in the majors.
It's no fun going to Wrigley to enjoy a baseball game and having a bunch of yuppies ramble on about every topic under the sun except baseball. It's no fun listening to radio and hearing the announcer drunkenly disparage anyone who plays well against them or hearing him pronounce that God is dead and has been replaced by a .262 hitting outfielder who homered for them yesterday.
It's no fun being anywhere near the Cubs who hate the White Sox because they play on the black side of town when the fans on the South Side have the city pride to cheer for the Cubs when they are winning. It's no fun talking to know-it-alls who can't name one single shortstop in baseball besides the Cubs' guy and who call the manager 'coach' and who says, 'F--- them, they're no good" about all the other teams, including the World Series winner.
And if you ARE from Illinois, hello kindred spirit!

Because nine out of ten Cubs fans are drunken buffoons that have no actual knowlege of the game or the team. I'm sick of most Cubs fans denying the fact that most people passing through the gates of Wrigley only go so that they can party in Wrigleyville after the game. When 50% of your fans are still wearing Mark Prior and Kerry Wood jerseys, it shows how much ignorance goes into feigning a true appreciation of the Cubs as a team.
I feel sorry for the true Cubs fans out there, and there are a few. But I'm a White Sox fan, and some of us really have no room to talk.

I like the Indians, but I just went to a White Sox/Cubs game on my birthday at Wrigley and it was a blast. Cubs fans drink like theres no tomorrow, but Sox fans yell hilarious stuff randomly. Id rather go to a Sox game, just to hear all the people yelling random insults at the other team out of the blue, or just bashing the umps. Its hilarious.

Because you don't appreciate the great history of the franchise and what the Cubs mean to the great city of Chicago. You have to give the fans of the Cubs credit for hanging in there with their team all these years when they are not winning. Their day will come and I just hope you are as loyal to you favorite team as they are to the Cubs. By the way, I am a Dodger fan who appreciates what the Cubs mean to MLB.

No Idea, perhaps you hate big market clubs that get FAR too much attention in the news, like the YANKEES, the SOX and the CUBS, and others. I mean do we the public really need to see GAMES 1-17 of SOX vs. YANKS???? And the Cubs are 3rd I feel in being shoved down our throats nationally.

How do the irritate you. The fans are dedicated and some of the best in baseball. The uniforms in case you didnt notice are red, white, and blue, the colors of the flag of this great country. The Cubs are one of the best organizations in baseball and you should not hate them.

Because the fans typically don't let stuff get to them and they enjoy baseball and are loyal to on team even though they haven't won anything in years? Do you hate the loyalty and hope? I dont know, but you are probably a sad person inside regardless.
