ok i am not that stupid! this was to settle an argument with my friends! My friend went to Hannibal Missouri, and they have there "Tom Sawyer's" house. So when i told her he wasn't real it started this whole thing. So there i am not stupid, and i'm not making this up either. gawd

no he's just a character in a book ,"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Samuel Clemens (pen name Mark Twain)

no. tom sawyer is not a real person. it is just a well know book, that people like you are bound to think it is real, but it is just a story by mark twian.

No, and he wasn't exactly based on one either, except that Samuel Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain, based him loosely on the boys he observed growing up around the Mississippi River.
