Yes, ask yourself what you really value. We never do anything except that we think it is the best thing for us to do. Your idea of what the best thing for you to be doing will depend on what you value most. Examine that and keep asking questions.

~~~ Probably not , since doing things that you'd rather not be doing is such a drag. I've found that listening to good Reggae Music while enduring unavoidable ,but necessary tasks helps reduce stress drastically. I do what I gotta do now,but I wouldn't call it dedication. Who wants to be best friends with dirty dishes? Yes, you've got to find something to distract you from any distaste of what's at hand, and you'll have a much easier time. ~~~
Hi! Your question is great! I don't know how you view things but here are a few thoughts I try to keep present.
Mies van der Rohe: God is in the details.
Buddha: No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.
Goethe: “Whatever you do, or dream you can.... begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it.”
Goethe: Nothing is worth more than this day.
Nike: Just do it!!!
Make out a to-do list. On one side list the things you can get done within one day On the other side list the things you want your guardian angel or your heavenly manager to do.
See who wins. Have fun!
Find the thing you are calling your 'self' and ask it.
