What I really like on baby back ribs are my hands & mouth!! My favorite baby back rib rub recipe is an 8:3:1 + 1 ratio. 8 T. light brown sugar, 3 T. kosher salt, 1 T. chili powder, 1/2 t. black pepper, 1/2 t. cayenne pepper, 1/2 t garlic powder, 1/2 t. Old Bay seasoning, 1/2 t. dried thyme, 1/2 t. onion powder. The 8:3:1 ingredients should remain the same. The great thing about this recipe is that the (+ 1) part of the recipe could be whatever you like. I rub this mixture liberally on the ribs & wrap in foil at least 8 hours before I put them on the smoker for 3-4 hours. I usually smoke them in the foil as I like to use a braising liquid of 1 C. white wine, 2 T. white wine vinegar, 2 T. Worchestershire sauce, 1 T. honey, 2 cloves garlic chopped per 2 slabs ribs. Pour half of liquid into each aluminum foil pouch & leave 1 end upturned & open to allow the smoke to get in. After they have been on for 3-4 hours, pour the liquid into a sauce pan, bring to a simmer & reduce by half to produce a glaze (bbq sauce). Brush the glaze on the ribs & grill until the glaze caramelizes. Put the remaining glaze in a bowl to use at the table.

I have never had Chili's. However since I am the king of the BBQ I can cook up some really excellent baby backs. Also good in the crock pot. Just have some good sides to go with it and you will feast like a king.

OVEN BARBECUED BABY BACK RIBS

1 1/2-2 lb. baby back ribs

BASTING SAUCE:

4 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. Dijon style mustard
1/2-1 c. beef broth
2 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. chili sauce
Dash of freshly ground black pepper

Wipe ribs with damp paper toweling. Place single layer in shallow roasting pan. Roast at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes. Drain off fat.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce by sauteing onions in butter until tender. Blend in flour and mustard. Cook 1-2 minutes. Stir in beef broth, lemon juice, chili sauce and black pepper. Cook 5-7 minutes, stirring until sauce is smooth and thickened.

Brush sauce over ribs. Return ribs to oven. Bake 30 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally with the sauce. Serves 4.

Try these sometime, Earnest.
And PLEASE don't listen to Tia D ! We don't ever want you to shut up. Keep 'em coming.

I don't go out to eat like that much either but I do like Chili's I usally end up with a pasta dish or burger and fries to scared to try................

I do like ribs (beef or pork which ever is the one with the most meat I can never remember which)

I think you should go for it, or you might end up craving it. Never been let us know if they are any good.

The best ribs I ever had (besides mine) were at Smokey Bones. Tender, smoky, saucy and finger lickin good. But I agree--why go to a corporate sameness when you can support your local, independant restauranteur? Of course, I may be biased...

When that commercial came out my daughter was an infant. Never have had the ribs, but to this day she squeals with delight when we sing the tune and tickle her back.
