I don't know..it makes you feel like a third wheel. Seems a little disrespectful to me.

Because they have to be cool! Don't you know it might make them look weak if they show they're actually capable of feelings and emotions???! They can't allow their guy friends to see the weakness!! He must be young. Real men aren't afraid to show you some attention in front of their friends.

I'm a guy and I thinks it's because they care more about what they're friends think than you. Find another guy who cares more about what you think.
