I don't tend to get scared at scary movies. There are some I find exciting, but not generally scary. However, I do recall being scared out of my wits when I saw the original War of the Worlds as a kid. The image of people disintegrating in multicolor flashes sent me under the covers.

The movie industry can never top "The Exorcist". It just tapped that category of movies and will always be the scariest.

War of the Worlds.
Okay, I don't watch a lot of scary movies, but War of the Worlds scared the h-el out of me.

pretty much anything.. that's scary, what can i say...?? i'm a scardy cat. but lately the scaryest movie i've seen would have to be the hostage. the more realistic movies are the ones that scare me.. the exorsist.. meh.. scary..all of them are scary.. aaha.

I can't remember what it was called but in it a guy was loosing his eyesite and someone was trying to kill him. The movie kept showing what he could see while these guys were trying to kill him. It was really frightening.

The Burning (uncut) saw it when i was 13 ,scared the life out of me.

i think i would have to say the descent only because my friends 17 year old brother literally pooped himself while we were watching it and then he made me and my friend walk him to his room when it was over.
