Trying to conceive after birth control pills.?

Question

I was only on birth control pills for 3 months. I stopped taking them in hope to get pregnant. Do you think that the pills would make me not ovulate right away even though I was only taking them for 3 months? Or will it still take a few cycles till ovulation is normal again?

It really all depends on whether your hormone levels were affected by just being on bcp for 3 months. One way to check is to track your fertility patterns like cervical fluid and basal body temperature. If after charting it seems like you're ovulating like you normally did before you were on bcps, then you'll know whether your hormones are back to normal or out of whack. Good luck.

I got pregnant the first month off of BC. I had a miscarriage and had to go back on BC for a month. Now after a year, I have not been able to get pregnant again. I think it just depends on your body. Everyone is different, but it is very possible to get pregnant right after quitting BC. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

My sister got pregnant while she was on the birth control pill. Your lucky they worked for 3 months.

Once you've stop taking birth control pills it should take only one or two cycles for you body to return to it's normal cycle. Birth control pills only work for the period in which you are taking them and once you stop the horomones that prevent you from ovulating, they are no longer in your system. Just be patient it will happen. Depov shots are much different and take alot longer to purge from your system.

I got pregnant the month after stopping on one of my kids and within 2 weeks on my last one.
