I know, I've read many vampire books. And, even sadder, I've read them all this year, 2007, plus other books.
All of the books I listed were pretty good to me, I have read other supernatural stuff that might interest you, so if you want more book suggestions on that subject, just e-mail me.
Enjoy

"Twilight" Series by Stephenie Meyer (I absolutely adore her books.)
"Companions of the Night" by Vivian Vande Velde (This was pretty good.)
"Vampire Kisses" Series by Ellen Schreiber (Personally, I liked the first one the best. The others are ok. I feel as if the author uses to many adjectives...and the plot isn't terribly exciting.)
"Sookie Stackhouse" Series by Charlaine Harris (I've read the first one and I loved it!)
"The Morganville Vampires" Series by Rachel Caine (I haven't read it yet but my friend loves this series!)
"The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova (I haven't read it yet but my dad loved it.)
"Moon Called" (It doesn't focus on vampires but there are quite interesting vampires in it. You see a lot more of the vampires in the second book "Blood Bound.")
"City of Bones" (This one also doesn't focus on vampires but has them in it. Ha, I remember the vampires in this book haunted a hotel. This is an awesome book though. It's complicated with so many twists and turns....it kept me guessing until the end!)
"Tantalize" by Cynthia Leitich Smith (This one was unique because it had a vampire-themed restaurant!)
Hopefully you've already read the original vampire book "Dracula."

When it comes out next year, you should check out Eric Wilson's Jeruslem's Undead series of vampire novels. Wilson's already had several other non-vampire books published: Dark To Mortal Eyes, Expiration Date and another one that I can't remember the title of.

MaryJanice Davidson's Queen Betsy series (aka the Undead series)
"Betsy Taylor--former model, newly unemployed secretary, 30, and still single--wakes up after being flattened by a small SUV in a tacky coffin wearing cheap knock-off shoes. Her mother is glad she is back, albeit as a vampire, but her stepmother is enraged that Betsy has reclaimed her designer-shoe collection. [...] Sexy, steamy, and laugh-out-loud funny, Davidson's chick-lit foray into the paranormal is delightful." --Diana Tixier Herald (Booklist)
"Erotically passionate, absolute delightful wicked fun!" --author Christine Feehan
"Chick lit meets vampire fiction in this creative, sophisticated, sexy, and wonderfully witty book." --Catherine Spangler
1. Undead and Unwed
"THE day I died started out bad and got worse in a hurry."
