I don't believe 13 is an unlucky number but I am really sorry about what's happened to you, though!

The mind is a powerful influence and if you look hard enough you can find all kinds of coincidences in so many different things. The number 2 could be deemed unlucky if looked at closely enough. That being said, I think there are things (numbers included) that have nasty stigmas to it or stereotypes if you will. Stereoptypes, no matter how outlandish usually have some basis in fact. So yes, I believe that the number 13 is unlucky. But the mind can pull you in and influence you more then outside forces.

Nope. First. There's no such thing as ' luck.' Hoods, bookies, gamblers, and people who're especially fearful of consequence. Want proof? Without becoming a religious fanatic devoid of intellect, credibility, or worse yet, putting a bad light on something that actually works? Okay. I'm taking a chance on you not being a dizzy flake I'm wasting all those typing skill on. Okay? You listening? Good. Borrow a copy of the King James version bible. You don't have to read it in any particular order or even sense. Pick out verses or chapters that are numbered 12, 13, or even 26. Read a few. Try to get at what they're saying. Then decide if there's a consistency. Okay? Now get outta here.

Don't worry about it as the reason its considered unlucky is apparently due to the christian belief that the 13th disciple shopped jesus. Jesus was crucified on a Friday, so friday 13th = double bad luck. Seriously, don't worry about it.

Also the laws of coincidence mean that there will be bad things that happen to some people on the 13th of the month or where the number 13 crops up, its inevitable, just as bad things happen to everyone on all manner of dates etc. If it never did on 13th that would be weird. Its not the number its all just random. The power of the mind is very strong and if you start to believe that bad things will occur around the number 13, they probably will, or you will be more aware of them in conjunction with that number.

I actually love the number 13. I don't have a fear of it or anything like that. Everyday there can be something that bad happens. We tend to remember things if they are surrounded by something that we think is bad luck (black cat, number 13, and so on) so we have some reason to explain why it happened. Humans strive to have a reason why bad stuff happens. We need something to blame.

I had a boss who was fanatical about 13 he had a bunch of bad stuff always happen on the 13th. I have never had a problem with it. I thought 9 was my number for good things because a lot of good things have happened with the number 9 until my grandma was buried on the 9th.

No, 13 has always been fine for me, sorry things haven't been too good for you and maybe it was more of a coincidence than the number 13 that caused the events to happen.
