I find myself angry every day. My neighbors and their unsightly junk, cars, RVs. We have local ordinaces that the police do not enforce (even they ignore the ordinaces too!) No one has pride in their property anymore. I have complained, been to town meetings. It just isn't working. I am tired of complaining and being angry. I just want to be able to look past all the problems in our neighborhood and be positive. I don't want to be a hermit or a prisoner in my own home. Its not only the neighbors but the drive to work is unhealthy also. Everyones in a hurry, They pass you on the right, run red lights and almost kill people. I use my middle finger and horn daily. I am done..... HELP! Moving is out of the question at this time>

Welcome to the world, my friend. I'm trying this very same thing, myself...especially here in YahooAnswers. I can't believe all these people here that talk about everyone having the right to their own opinions and beliefs, yet they Christian-bash all day long. They deliberately come into the religion group to do it. You'd think a rational person would stay out of religious discussion if they either hated religion or didnt believe it, right? Uh-uh. But this is just one place. The "me me me" stuff and not giving a damned about anyone else is really getting on my nerves. Where did my generation drop the ball the raise a bunch of selfish, hateful brats??? Listen, all I can suggest is to pray for tolerance. It has REALLY helped me. It took awhile (it wont happen over night), but I am far more tolerant today then I was a few years ago. I've been finding it ALOT easier to justlet things slide. And moving wouldn't even be an option anyway...where would you go? No place on earth is perfect - youre going to find the same type people everywhere these days. You just have to do it yourself. Alot of prayer and alot of soul searching and retraining your thinking is all thats going to work. Good luck.

The fact that you recognize that you're angry, and that you're tired of being so... that's a huge step. You don't need to move, running away from what angers you won't work: you'll just find something new to be angry at, somewhere else. What would most likely help is a very decisive shift in perspective.

Pride in one's property and How awful is that person who cut you off... these aren't the sorts of matters that are going to make a difference in the larger scope of things, and to get worked up about them is surely accomplishing nothing more than damaging your own health.

IMHO, you should do the exact opposite of turning into a hermit. Try your best to approach people like your neighbors in non-confrontational ways, and try to be truly interested in who they are and where they come from, and you will probably be surprised at how much they truly are real people, and their unsightly junk isn't what should be defining them in your mind.

It may also help to speak to a therapist, as that would be giving you a place to vent and overcome these things that anger you and wear you out. You don't have to live like that, it must be difficult. Best of luck!

this is a sturdy question and in my opinion I surely have continually felt that categorical they are greater tolerant. i know that I as an English/Spanish conversing man or woman who dabbles in different languages am greater tolerant. whilst i'm discovering different languages I surely tend to circulate the place the language is spoken there-by utilising assembly and attending to know a few of them and what they as a existence-style and persons have long gone with the aid of. I surely have many acquaintances who communicate distinctive languages. Why did I basically placed 2 languages down you ask. i'm basically fluent in those 2 languages yet who's universal with sometime i will upload greater to the checklist.

Don't take any of it seriously. Nothing is really important.
Do what YOU can to demonstrate and encourage correct behavior.
Hire a police department to take care of the rest. That is their job. They asked for it.
They get payed to do it.
Fire them when they don't earn their keep.
(OR more realistically, Fire the ones you elected who don't do THEIR jobs.)
Don't YOU worry about it yourself. Be responsible for your knowledge by keeping yourself informed and apply that knowledge where it is appropriate. You can't do it ALL.
