Whats is sad is that this president has the most enthic and gender diverse cabinet and advisors EVER. Yet these smart people are called sell-outs, uncle Tom's and turn coats.

This president has done more to foster race relations then any other president and yet he is viewed as a racist.

Sad.

Ohh and Chi Guy - those damn southern Republicans you mention, helped enforce Brown v. Board of Education.

uhmm..."liberal" is not a political party...and neither is "conservative". You can be a liberal republican or a conservative democrat.

The words liberal and conservative are descriptive...like hot and cold. What is liberal to you, may be conservative to someone else.

Example: Florida has very liberal gun laws, put in place by conservative republicans.

I don't think anyone is being "pigeon-holed" into any party. But a certain prejudice is being perpetrated by both parties in order to polarize voters into two neat little categories....even though the majority of voters could care less because they are actually moderate independants. You might support an amendment to tighten gun regulations while at the same time supporting an amendment to outlaw abortion...then you voted for the third party candidate....(are you a conservative or a liberal ....or are you moderate independant ?)

Politicians would love for everyone to believe that every issue on the table is black and white, dem or repub, lib vs. con.... You can't fit all of the citizens in the most diverse nation on earth into two neat little categories...it's complete BS.

If republicans are in power, and you don't like the way things are going in your neighborhood...your probably going to vote democrat. and visa versa. Last election, America didn't necessarily vote democrat just because there are more democrats registered...( I think the opposite is true). America voted for change, which means many republicans would have had to cross party lines or dems would not be in control of the houses at this point. Those registered republicans are actually moderates / independants.

I think everyone should register independant unless they are 100 percent certain that they are republican or democratic minded. This would give all the politicians something to work for when election time nears....right now they think they've got it all figured out just by how many registers in each state.

OMG Chi Guy! I can't believe you just said that! That answer was so blatantly WRONG!

Yes you are smart enough to veiw all your options. Democrats are in favor of the entitlement programs that keep many of your race enslaved. They don't believe that black people are smart or resourceful and as long as they keep hand feeding ALL people with welfare and other such programs they have votes.

Everyone, regardless of race or gender should research all options to make sure they are voting for the candidate whose views match their own the best. Vote for the person, not the party.

I don't think so. But some black and white liberals attack conservative blacks with racial remarks. I hope some are more open minded.

Are there any black democrats or just liberals? Why don't you stop pigeon-holing people?

Simply looking at the "diversity" of the republican presidential candidates speaks volumes about ones options. The prejudiced, southern republicans will NEVER support anything but that which appears on stage this term.

At least the Dem side displays a variety of options and the melting pot this nation truly is.
