I hope it is at home where people will actually appreciate it. Jerk fans on the road will take away from an incredible milestone. If you read some of my answers you will know my position on Barry. Henry Aaron can sob all he wants and be a big crybaby but he should already know his record will stand even after it is broken. We will just have the pre-steroid era HR King and the steroid era HR King. Then A-Rod will break it and everyone will be happy again.

BTW I am a D-Rays fan and Braves fan and live in Atlanta currently. Like I have said before, he hasn't broken any baseball rules. I think pitchers get off too easily and I am not just referring to steroids and HGH.

Hopefully at home so he can be embraced like he should be. I love how fans go out of their way to criticize Bonds and what he allegedly did. And then when a guy like Clemens or Giambi has a good start or hits a homerun, those same fans embrace more possible steroid users with open arms. I'm not anti Yankee, I'm actually a huge Yankee fan, but that's the example that came to mind. If you are going to criticize the use of steroids, you have to be consistent. You either should not support any player or team because right now, everyone could have been a former steroid abuser, or just understand that there is nothing we can do any more about solving the steroid issue of the past, and move on.

If they go on a road trip when he hits 755 they will either sit him or just tell him to hit ground balls until the Giants come back to San Francisco. The same thing happened with Aaron when he hit 714. Too much money to be made by the Giants.
I just realized he could break it against the Braves (Aaron's old team) in a four game series July 23 to 26

He will break it at Dodger stadium on August 1st. Well, that is what I am hoping since I'll be at the game on that day. It's possible though. He better start picking it up a bit.
If he tries to do it at home, he may not break the record this year. He is really not hitting well. Yet, the Giants may have some gentlemans agreement that he breaks it at home and he'll at least have to try.

Barry is such a difficult guy to love because he is such a jerk. He wouldn't give you the time of day if you ran across him somewhere, unless a camera was around. There is nothing about him that is likable, and than there is the steroid issue. But you know something, you have to give the guy credit for his accomplishments because they are spectacular. To answer your question, I believe he wants to break the record at home and would go to the extreme of sitting out a few extra games on the road to give his fans a shot to experience history.

My guess would be at home. In the games leading up to his breaking Babe Ruth's record, he would often sit out or only bat once or twice in a game. This is due to both the hostile fans on the road, and the fact that it would be good for the San Francisco fans to see him break the record at home.

you're right. it will definitely be at home like most of his record breaking accomplishments. except for when he tied babe, he did that in oakland, but its close to SF. bonds will be booed everywhere else, but many fans outside of SF are hypocrites. they boo him when he is at the plate and then when he hits a HR, people are taking pictures and clapping. that annoys the hell out of me. if youre going to boo him, then dont clap or cheer when he hits one out. i hate that everyone zeroes in on barry, when at least half of all mlbers take steroids too. and bonds was a HOFer before people said he took steroids.

They'll make sure it will happen at home, for precisely the reasons you state. If he gets close, he'll get a day or two off until they go back to SF.

The crime will occur at San Francisco, where once again it will be overhyped and will create undo adulation to a man who only 10 years ago average 20 homers per seaon.
