Shutting off as in it powers down and you have to turn it on again?

Shutting off as in you can't get to the Internet sometimes?

Not knowing what bear share was - I checked it out on wikipedia. I'd say Father knows best. It's not bearshare per say causing the problem, but something you downloaded with bearshare.

The RIAA has a vested interest is seeing these P2P music swapping services fail. You don't suppose that the RIAA would essentially put out malware on the bearshare network under the disquise of the latest Hip Hop hit do you?

Read the Wikipedia description -

"However, many users have claimed that the software downloads malicious spyware and adware onto their computer systems, which in effect slows down their systems performance and causes their systems to constantly crash. It has also been reported that the software may cause unintentional downloading of media files such as music, movies, etc.[2]"

If the computer is shutting down immediately (entirely powering down out of the blue) that might be a wiring problem. Something's not plugged in correctly, or some other electrical reason.

If the computer is going through the normal shut down process before powering down, there is something that is telling it to shut down (don't know what or why)

If the computer is severely locking up and crashing so that you have to restart it yourself, it is probably due to corrupted windows files or other corrupted files used by other programs.

If your internet connection is dropping but nothing else, than that is a problem with either your broadband router or the ISP themselves most likely.

First thing to do, is get rid of bearshare. These programs could allow anyone to get into your private information. I know you want to keep it, but trust me, these kind of programs can be dangerous!! Click this link, to try and repair your problem..Good Luck>>
