And remember those frozen yogurt machines in grocery stores? I remember in the 80's we had like 4 frozen yogurt stores in town, but now we have none. I found out TCBY is still in biz, but our's left. I think with obesity being the problem that it is, that frozen yogurt would come back in style. I eat ice cream and am slightly underweight trying to gain weight, but I prefer frozen yogurt to ice cream. Come to think of it, the Dairy Queen is the only ice cream store we have here. With our lax economy and everyone trying to cut costs these days, are stores serving mainly frozen treats finding it too hard to maintain sales year-round (thus closing)?

It is quite odd that you do not have frozen yogurt in the U.K. You should. I live in California now (formerly from Chicago, Illinois) and there are at least 2 frozen yogurt shops that I have been to. Whoever opens a frozen yogurt shop in the UK will do very well, in my opinion.

Well, there is still ONE TCBY in my hometown, but I honestly never see anybody buying anything there. And as for Dairy Queen, don't they serve soft serve (which, as far as I knew, is frozen yogurt)? You are right though, maybe it has just kind of fallen out of favour.

They are still around, but I think the craze passed once people realized that it wasn't really that much different than regular ice cream. I always thought the prices were high, so that may have made a difference to some people also.

That is a darn good question. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen a TCBY in years, and they used to be all over the place. They made some tasty treats, too! Maybe you should drop them a line and get it straight from the horse's mouth.
