I agree with the 1st response... No one thinks Zionism began in 1948.

How do you think Israel could have been made in the first place if the Zionists were not already there?

Everyone is well aware of the Zionism that ocurred before that... It's just that after WWII more Jewish people switched over to the Zionist camp than before because of what happened under the Nazis. They were already there, but less Jews agreed with them.

Certainly not those young, idealistic Zionists of the early 20th Century, the 1913s, say, to the 1919s. And, later. They were senior citizens--or, at least AARP material [if there had been an AARP then] by 1948.

Wherever did you get that impression? Nobody in their right mind thinks that, not zionists, not anybody.
