The price can very by several thousand dollars based on just a few factors.
For example, just your resort stay can vary a lot. To give you an idea, you could pay from $145 to over $2000 a night, depending if you stay at a moderate or go to a deluxe, what category room you choose, etc. So that is one are where you price can really range.
Now, tickets is another thing to consider. Are you going only to Disney, or do you want to do several parks outside of Disney. If you do just Disney, do you want hopper pass, water parks, no-expiration, or just a base pass and how many days you want. If you will be going to other parks, which ones, what kind of ticket, etc.
Packages, what kind of a package do you want? The dining plan is an upgrade from the base package, but for the price it is well worth it. Plus, since you are going for a nice long visit, you would get the chance to expirience many of the great Disney restaurants. Or, maybe since you are going so long you may like to go with a better package that includes tours and such. For dining it is $38.99 for adults and $10.99 for kids 9 and under. But, if you want to do one of the better packages you are looking to spend closer to $200 a day.
You also need to consider how many people will be going. If it is just one adult it will cost a lot less than a family of four or a larger group.
The time of year is another factor. If you go during peak season or holiday season you will probably pay full price. If you go during value season you can get really good deals, for example September usually brings the free dining promotion and it doesn't get much better than that.
Now, all that being said, I would estimate around $1000 per person. This would give you (most likely) a high estimate and if you go with the more economical route, that should give you some spending money as well.
I agree with the other answers that a travel agent would likely be a big help for you. It is probably the easiest way for you to get multiple quotes for your different options at once. It will also be the easiest way for you to plan and get the help you need planning a nice vacation.
I will include some links to some good sites that have a lot of info.
Hopefully this helps you with your question. If there is anything I missed or you have other questions you can e-mail me. I visit Disney almost every month.

For a Disney "Deluxe" Resort, you can stay from $215 a night (packages at $2,700 for 6 days).
For a moderate resort, you can get a room from $145. Click on the following site for a list of great hotels in Disney. Hope I helped, and have fun with the stay!

My hubby & I stayed at the Coronado Springs resort last December (the 1st through the 9th) with our 2 year old granddaughter. We got the Magic Your Way package with the park hopper passes and the dining plan and paid something like $2300 total. You can go to the Disney website www.disney.com and get pricing. They have special offers for dates with fewer crowds("Wonderful Weeks of Disney") too; the prices are a little lower than usual during these dates.
I highly recommend booking directly with Disney, either by phone (407) 934-7639 or via their website. That way you won't incur additional fees from travel agents!

Disney World is two words and it can cost 10,000 for a good place to stay. You need to be more specific.
