I don't even think Robin Williams could-Jim Carrey is a GENIUS actor. He's perfect in every movie--every line, expression, body movement, etc.
He was brilliant in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The Grinch required a darker element. Carrey can pull that off, Williams really can't. Don't get me wrong, I am a big time Robin Williams fan, it's just that he isn't convincing when trying to convey a darker side. Jim Carrey is.

I think Jim Carey was an awful choice. The Grinch wasn't supposed to be funny. I realize it was a kids movie and thus needed humor but they could have incorperated it in some other ways. As they did. I thought Jim was HORRIBLE, to say the LEAST!

Christmas isn't for another two weeks -- and it's still on my calendar! I haven't seen hide nor hair of the Grinch so I think I can safely assume the date stands. Now, if the Grinch would steal Chuck Norris....

Vincent Price would be an excellent Grinch. He played a lot of evil characters in movies and on TV.
