you are NOT dumb!
knowing that you get good marks in english, drama, and music proves that you are a smart, and talented young person ^.^
you shouldn't let your snobby teachers get in the way of your happiness
think of it this way you've been in school for 11 years what's another 2?
as for your acting dream, i suggest you find a nice acting school in your community, perhaps they have scholarship opportunities...also i would start reading plays on your own and starting a club at school dedicated to acting...maybe comedy, improv, or true blue drama
good luck with everything + don't give up
wanting to become an actor doesn't mean moving to hollywood ^.^ you can start anywhere and become FAMOUS!
also, if you apply to colleges and make it, the school's theatre program will open doors for you like that would otherwise be nonexistent....in the acting world you need connections

Hmm, do you know what the success rate is for aspiring actresses? Very close to nil. You should stay in school and get experience performing in plays etc, then go on to college and do the same (as a theater major), all the while applying to acting jobs.
That way, if the acting thing doesn't work out, you have something to fall back on besides being a waitress or working in retail.

I suggest continuing with school. Like others said, dropping out and not having a high school diploma is probably one of the worst decisions you could make right now. If I were you, I would finish high school, then go to NYU and major in performing arts. Many actors went there, and the city is a good place to get experience (you could get a role in a small play, then work your way up).
Good luck and keep pursuing your dream!

Why don't you stay in school. Get by on the things you don't like and major in those you do like. If you can stand it 2 more years, then you can go to college and major in the arts-even get a MFA. Once the core subjects are out of the way in college, then its all the fun stuff you want to do.

unfortunately in todays society you really cant go anywhere in life with out at least having a highschool diploma. your better off sucking it up and getting it done (you have only 2 more years to go youve already done ten why quit now?) and besides becoming an actress and actually getting paid enough to live is very very difficult and doesnt always work out. im not telling you not to try, but you should cover your *** with a highschool diploma first just in case it doesnt work out.

I hate to tell you this, but its better to study your craft at a good college, which means you have to buckle down on your studies so you can get into a good college. Unless you want to be a silicone scream queen.
Sorry, reality bites.

I was the same way- barely graduated w/ a diploma...stay in school- get your diploma- then go for your dream....at least you'll have your diploma if you fail. And you really dont fail either way.

Considering your "dream" is not likely to bear fruit, I'd suggest stop being a lazy, social butterfly & try APPLYING yourself in school.
