I only know of, and respect, 2 (TWO) actual, decent democrats.

Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman.

And yes, the rest DO give them a bad "name".

Yes, they most certainly do. I try not to judge people simply by the political party with which- by tradition, or other reason- they affiliate themselves. There are many good people associated with both the republican and democratic parties. I do, however, find it difficult to comprehend, how one could stay with a party that promotes ideas-in it's party platform- that are totally opposed to what that person says he believes. I, for one, cannot and will not be called neither democrat nor republican before I'm called Christian. I am that first and foremost. One of the fore mentioned parties, left me. There remains only one I can still affiliate myself with. If that party ever abandons the principles that the unborn are persons that deserve the full protection of the law, or decides that the definition of marriage is different than the one God ordained, I would not hesitate to bid them a fond farewell.

Yes. I started out as a Democrat. It used to be a party of civil rights, pro-military, anti-communist, freedom loving Americans. JFK was one of the first national leaders to understand we needed to lower the top marginal tax rates. He realized the Soviet threat. The party today resembles none of this. It's useless.

Democrats need new leadership. If they think it's in Hillary or the Breck Girl they're fooling themselves. They hate Republicans so much they would vote for Michael Moore or their hero Che Guevara. If they would just divorce the Kook Left they could get their party back. I'm not thinking it's going to happen any time soon.

Yes, just as Neo-cons give decent Republicans a bad name. Middle of the road honest politics never gets covered, because it's not there for the benefit of the media but rather the people, as it should be.

Yes, the extremists do. I have a good friend that is married to a Democrat, his mom is a Democrat and his brother is a Democrat and they are all fine people, misled but fine people.

P.S. Kawaii is an angry little soul, let her be. Better yet, let's give her a government handout, she'll be fine afterwards.

Yes because decent democrats have let the sec pros come in and take over. They saw this as their chance to take over finally. It has failed, and now we will have 20 more years of conservatism.

Only because some people insist on taking the extremists of every group and applying their negative attributes to the group as a whole.

Intelligent people are able to differentiate between extremists and rational people. Unfortunately, if you go by what's on Yahoo these days... the extremists are starting to take over.

People of extremes in anytihng give the general people of that type a bad name--radical Islamists give regualr faithful Muslims a bad name, bridezillas give brides a bad name, innercity gang members give their neighbors a bad name, on and on....I think Bush and Co give Republicans a bad name, personally.

Yes, I have met real Democrats that hate communism and socialism and love America. Many Democrats have a socialistic ideology and can care less about America. I know my parents are Democrats, and they even said their ideology is pretty neutral. They don't agree with everything Bush does, but they don't bash him and insult him all the time.

No more than Pat Robertson or James Dobson and other Far Right Wackos giving actual decent Republicans a bad name.
