decide if a person is worthy of your friendship. What do you look for in a good friend, and what could that friend possibly do to make you want to end that friendship besides sleeping with your man?

i ask this question because i told my ex best friend that i dont want to be boithered with her a** anymore, and it was because i feel she says things out of her mouth that are just unacceptable, and i feel like when she comes around i have to put on a certain image just for her and i realized that it was not for me.

If you are comfortable around each other and you seem to always be on equal ground.

With the person you talk about here that does not seem to be the case.Maybe you did the right thing. You two might just end up being better friends because of a better understanding between you two.

Worth your friendship; compatibility and spotting your weak spots (and vice versa)
A good friend will almost always be there for you when you need him/her the most - even if it is through a phone call or a few nice and inspiring words via email. You can be sure you can be you in front of him/her, and feel comfortable talking about anything.
To end a friendship; I don't think it's just ONE thing..... everybody has bad days, where you just don't get along with anyone - your best friend is no exception. A heated argument about anything can blow out of proportion, and it can take years to repair the damage. Sometimes we patch the damage, but the friendship is never where it used to be.

I think everyone is worthy of my friendship until they do something unfriendly like .. hit me in the face with a brick. Friends don't hit each other in the face with bricks.

Well I don't look for anything in a "good friend". First they're a friend .. and if they have good habits and traits or actions that enhance the friendship then they're good friends.

Alot of things. Basically something that negatively impacts the friendship. If they don't mend it up... then I mean I guess they slip back into the "that guy" category. It doesn't have to be really dramatic. "We used to be friends, we're not anymore."

You don't know - a friendship is created over time. Just like any relationship you get to know a person over time and as you learn about the other person you learn whether or not you like them.

A lot of times my friends are based on how they treat others when we are out and if they take my family into consideration when making plans, etc. with me.

A friendship isn't something you need to figure out. It just happens with a strong connection and you will know that you can trust them.

if they call you and ask how your doiong along with askinf for favours then I know they are true friends because they truly care. I they consistantly lie and you know it or they alaways try to use me then that is definatley grounds for termination of friendship to me

Lie or steal from me and that's it. honesty is what I look for in any friend ship, just be real with me and it's all good. tell me before you sleep with my man, so I can kick your a** before you do it!
