YES, YES, YES!!!!!
I did a wedding cake for my best friend and his husband and it was rainbow inside and out. And it tasted great.
Rainbow cakes are the hot new thing.
The state that I live in my friend and his husband could not get legally married but they did have a commitment ceremony. I catered and it was beautiful.
I wish you all the happiness in the world and I hope you have some type of wedding or ceremony to show the one you love just how much you do love them.

You should have any kind of wedding cake y'all choose!

(BTW, don't worry about legality. If the time is right for you and your partner, have a wedding. You can always do the legal thing later after you move or laws change. Don't let a phobic society get in the way of inviting your loved ones to bless your commitment to each other!)

That sound VERY good and colorful! I have my dream wedding planned out already too! Never thought about a rainbow wedding cake though...very clever!

Why not? Wedding cake is one of those things you get to do entirely to your own taste. In fact, the whole wedding is an opportunity for you and your mate to do things your own way, and in so doing, have an exercise in defining that style. Don't be too surprised if you need to do some compromising, some "oh, well, I'll give in on this if you give in on that" type negotiations.

Why not? I'm sure that will be the tradition. And every new concept deserves it's own set of traditions - which is a good thing,as long as they don't become "hide-bound". Or you could use a pot of gold motif, indicating that in marriage you have found what you were looking for at the end of your particular rainbow. I would use use both, the rainbow for the sake of group identity, and the little pot of gold to symbolise your partner!

I would have one. That'd be pretty sweet to have a rainbow cake at a wedding.

Good question.
I was thinking this same thing the other day.
'Course by the time marriage is legal for ME I expect they'll be feeding me rainbow colored oatmeal or something equally nasty that doesnt have to be chewed. *sigh*
